2018 was big. 2019 will be bigger.

I’m getting ready to ring in the new year feeling more hopeful about the future of our country than I was a year ago today — and that’s thanks to you.

Despite Trump’s daily tantrums and dangerous attacks on our democracy, the Stand Up America community stood up, fought back, and had historic wins in 2018.

This year, we grew to over 2,000,000 (!!) progressives nationwide resisting Trump’s corrupt agenda every day. We’ve spoken up and mobilized in key moments throughout the year, and together, we’ve had a significant impact.

Here are just a couple of examples of what we’ve accomplished together:

We were the loudest grassroots community demanding that Congress protect the Trump-Russia investigation and get to the truth. We flooded the phone lines in support of legislation that would block Trump from firing Mueller, and we mobilized for hundreds of protests nationwide to declare that no one is above the law. Thanks to your efforts, Mueller is still following the money and working to hold Trump and his cronies accountable.

2018 Year in Review

We also won big at the ballot box. The Stand Up America community helped progressives win in key districts across the country. Our work led to tens of thousands of voter registrations, thousands of volunteer shifts, and over half a million peer-to-peer texts to help get out the vote. Because of your efforts, we’re kicking off the New Year with a progressive House ready to hold Trump accountable and stop his agenda in its tracks.

2018 Year in Review

We’ve got our work cut out for us in 2019, but thanks to this community, we’re ready to continue protecting the Trump-Russia investigation, hold Trump and his cronies accountable for their corruption, and embark on proactive work to strengthen our democracy.

More soon on our plans in 2019. For now, I hope you get a moment to celebrate and recharge for the work ahead.

On behalf of the entire Stand Up America community, thank you for standing with us — and happy New Year!
