NEW YORK — Following news that former White House Counsel Don McGahn has been ordered to testify before Congress, Stand Up America Managing Director Christina Harvey released the following statement:

“The courts have delivered a critical victory for Congress in the fight to hold Trump accountable. The reason why is clear: the Trump administration’s attempts to conceal Donald Trump’s crimes by preventing witnesses from testifying are illegal.

“Blocking Don McGahn from testifying was a blatant attempt by Donald Trump to stonewall Congress, bury the truth, and proclaim that he is above the law. But once again, the court made it clear that no one—including Donald Trump—is above the law.”
