NEW YORK — Following the release of the transcript of the call between Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelensky, Stand Up America spokesperson Ryan Thomas released the following statement:
“This transcript is a smoking gun. It reveals that Donald Trump unquestionably asked the Ukrainian President to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden. We’ve also learned that the Trump-appointed inspector general for the intelligence community made a criminal complaint regarding his behavior that was quashed by Trump’s Department of Justice.
“This is blatantly impeachable conduct and Congress must swiftly act to draft articles of impeachment—and vote.”

In August 2019, Stand Up America also joined several partner organizations in launching ‘Impeachment August,’ a grassroots campaign that helped pressure dozens of lawmakers into supporting an impeachment inquiry and eventually pressure the House Judiciary Committee to formalize its inquiry.
